Research fields include dry mixed mortar, polymer cement-based composite materials, building insulation and energy saving system materials, building functional materials, solid waste resource utilization, special building materials, etc.
As the responsible person, he has presided over more than 40 scientific research projects, including sub-projects of the National Key Research and Development Program and projects of the National Natural Science Foundation of China. The research results have won 2 first prizes, 1 second prize and 1 third prize of provincial and ministerial science and technology progress awards. He has published more than 150 academic papers, granted 12 patents for invention, compiled 7 textbooks and monographs, and formulated 7 standards.
